LOOK OUT FOR BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS THIS WEEK!
Monday September 22 Bobby Bare Jr. What's most remarkable about Bare's songs is how effortlessly catchy they are...The only real curiosity about Bare's career to date is that he hasn't yet become a big name in modern rock--the kind of artist whose every album is awaited with the eager anticipation that greets the latest from Spoon or the Shins." Nashville Scene The Builders and The Butchers 8pm Wednesday September 24 Throw Me The Statue Seattle indie-pop quintet Throw Me The Statue has been delighting audiences since their first EP was released last year. Since then, the band has found success with their first full-length album Moonbeams, which is currently climbing up college radio charts while the band tours the country The Broken West 8pm Friday September 26 The Chavy Boys of London (Scottie B, Shawn Caesar, King Tutt) Chavy Boys of London are the new Bmore supergoup featuring Scottie and Shawn Caesar (co-founders of the legendary Unruly Records) and Scottie's longtime collaborator and Bmore guru in his own right, King Tutt. The Boys run wild on this one, remixing party rap classics(1), bhangra beats(2), a well-known dubstepper(3), an even better-known pop idol(4) and that shouty guy from Atlanta who seems to end up on a lot of Bmore tracks. Will Eastman Gavin Holland Dj Stereofaith 830pm Saturday September 27 Sons Of Bill Immersed in writing good songs, the Sons draw inspiration from the likes of Steve Earle, Dwight Yoakam and The Drive By Truckers. Asked about their quick popularity, James says that the band’s sound has an honesty to it, and “every time we play, we put our hearts into it.” The band has sold the first run of their CD, A Far Cry From Freedom, and they are currently remixing it with Chris Kress (Dave Matthews Band, Wrinkle Neck Mules) for re-release. 6 Day Bender Doors | 9pm Show | 10pm Please visit us on Myspace and Facebook and Google Group |
