East Ghost is an indie rock band from Washington DC, a town where “who do you work for” defines who you are until you learn how to define yourself. As parts of an outfit, East Ghost is simply three friends and musical counterparts, combining influences of jazz, blues, ambient and melodic rock to reconstruct themes of distance, distortion, and a loss of connection with the people around them. The band released their first EP "St. Elizabeths" in 2012, an EP of material that reflects the feelings of those who move to the city only to feel as if they are drifting in and out, living a temporal, ghostly existence. The band then followed up with a new single “Tobacco Teeth" in 2013. East Ghost draws musical inspiration in the melodic hooks of The National, Clarity-era Jimmy Eat World and This Will Destroy You.
