Blending the songwriting styles of Chris Ingham and James Kirby, as well as musical influences of rock & roll, blues, folk and punk, Simply Subtle’s sound is anything but subtle. Gritty, soulful and real, their songs tell stories of life, delivered by their shared vocal and guitar duties. The rhythm section, Steve Clark on bass and Steve Hauenstein on drums, rounds out the thunderous, but articulate 4 piece.

The Excitable Boys are a high energy rock and roll outfit brought together by a love of Warren Zevon's music. We are a five-piece group relatively new on the scene in DC, but made up of members of several veteran, local bands. Each of us desired a project in which we could rock harder, play more in your face, and make more questionable personal life choices than with our other musical endeavors. Thus, The Excitable Boys were born
