On November 15, Practically Einstein will release its brand new EP Love + Hate, the first with a new and improved lineup, now packing more alt-rock punch into vintage flavor rock and roll. A veteran on the DC scene for a decade-plus, PE has defied the odds to return with this anticipated collection of songs about the opposing forces that can come to a boil in the heart and mind. From the devil-may-care spirit of the single “Massive in Japan”, to the dark passion of “When the World Explodes”, the songs exhibit a range of influences, much from the alt-rock heyday of the ‘90’s (Catherine Wheel, Buffalo Tom, Sugar, Del Amitri, Matthew Sweet, Supergrass, Pearl Jam, Guided by Voices), and spiked with doses of Britpop, Americana and soul. The EP release event at the Hotel will be PE’s first show back on American soil after a fall Scandinavian tour (Denmark and Finland). We expect some rock and roll sparks to fly…
