Green River Junction has been evolving and rocking the DC area since 2009. Originally an acoustic/percussion duo with Justin Shapiro and Richie Cairns, GRJ got their start playing dive bars in Adams Morgan, house parties, and local festivals. Singer/songwriter Justin Shapiro could even be seen busking out on those means streets of Bethesda MD. He soon brought on long time friend and local musician Derrick Wiggins to play bass, and the true Green River Junction sound that we bring you today was born! They bring a fun new spin to rock, funk, and blues, then put just enough twang on it that’ll make you want to kick off your shoes, feel the grass between your toes, and start dancin’! …Or just make you want to start taking shots of Patron!

There’s no doubt about it… Green River Junction has arrived, and we’re here to party!!

The songs are ready, and the time is now. We’ll be recording our debut album this summer of 2016. Until then, please come support and see what we’re all about!
