CATSCAN! is an electronic rock duo based out of Washington, DC. Two men, Mason Shelby and Paul Tsiaperas, experiment with unusual instrumentation and minimalist arrangements of mostly pop songs since the year 2000. They have a new album out called 田代島 and put out one new song every month.
Möbius Strip
Möbius Strip is a post-punk band from Washington, DC. The band has been together for five years and released three records. Animal rights and other social justice issues are common themes in Möbius Strip’s music.
The Dead Women
The sound of kudzu draped over dirty blessings and make believe, all wrapped in a calloused stomach. / "... like getting hit with a hammer pleasant" - Jerry Princess Taste
Electric Grandmother
While some enter an Electric Grandmother show purely out of curiosity, they are inevitably drawn in by the humor and madness of the performance. Their albums have received critical praise from the likes of Pop Matters and Alternative Press Magazine. They have been performing regionally for nearly 10 years on the East Coast and the Midwest of the United States. They are stylistically unparallel to any other musical group, while adhering to Ramones pop-sensibility and the unconventional convention of Ween and The Residents. They have shared the stage with hundreds of bands including Kepi Ghoulie, Jeffrey Lewis, Black Moth Super Rainbow, ADULT., Dax Riggs, Tim Fite, Adam Brodsky, Weird Paul, and members of Why? and Grand Buffet.
