Adam E Project is made up of three different personalities that somehow come together as one to create music that takes the listener on a rhythmic journey with high-powered tracks such as “Rock Star Life” and smoothed out melodies like “You Are”. The three free spirits that make up AEP are Adam El-Alfi, Charles Amuzie and Jeff Boyd.

Adam El-Alfi (Adam E) the lead vocalist and front man, has had an inspiring journey. Born in Abu Dhabi, he discovered his passion for singing as a cast member of “Children’s Choice” a popular British children’s television show in Saudi Arabia. Adam now calls Washington DC home. He began writing music at the age of 15 and as a teenager he was chosen to sing at the Kennedy Center Honors beside Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Tragically, Adam fell ill and was in a coma for four months. After surviving a 1% chance to live, he endured 9 months of rehab relearning how to walk and how to use his motor skills. Today, he continues to follow his passion; writing and performing for anyone who will listen.

Charles Amuzie the lead guitarist, is a long time music nerd and all-around six string wizard. In the almost 12 years since he first picked up a guitar, he has gigged wherever and whenever possible, playing solo shows and with various bands in Florida, Georgia and now as a member of AEP (by way of Craig’s List).

Jeff Boyd; drummer/producer, started producing music for pleasure at a young age. As he honed his craft, he transitioned into a resident producer at HourHaus in Baltimore, MD. Jeff’s first instrument was the trumpet and then he realized his love for the boom bap of the drums while storing a drum kit for one of his friends. He began gigging as a drummer a few years later and teamed up with Adam E at a show while playing for another band.

Jerel Cook is a Silver Spring MD native who grew up listening to different genres of music; everything from Frank Zappa, Carlos Santana, Hendrix, Joe Satriani, SRV and the Isley Brothers. He’s been playing guitar for about 8 years. He’s influenced by his broad spectrum of music and his uncle. Starting out mainly playing Christian music he has now branched out and connected with Adam E Project in 2015.

AEP has headlined events for DC Based lifestyle company No Kings Collective, including the “Know Fashion Fashion Show” and “Submerged.” They have also played at local DMV venues such as the Fillmore Silver Spring, DC9, the Gibson, and Howard Theatre and was invited twice to perform at the renowned 9:30 Club, selling out both shows. The band recently played Rams Head Live in Baltimore and at the Leftfield Bar in NYC.

AEP’s 2014 release of “Rock Star Life” has become a staple for all AEP performances and is regularly played by DJ Alkimist on DC’s 107.3 Freakin Weekend Mix show. AEP has recently recorded with DC heavyweights SmCity and Born Infinite, delivering an eclectic sound mashing up their soulful pop sound with smoothed out hip-hop. The summer release of “I Don’t Believe In Love” featuring SmCity has grabbed the attention of DC radio personality DJ Chris Styles who is featured on WPGC 95.5, 94.7 Fresh FM and Sirius/XM Radio “The Heat”.

AEP has overcome adversity, faced death, and just keeps pushing forward asking “what’s next” and embracing each day like it’s the last and writing new material every day…..“Creating music is my ultimate form of self-expression. I write music to communicate with and connect to people I play for…” – Adam E
